A beach house is 35 m² and sleeps up to 5 people. The ground floor has a bedroom with a double bed, and the spacious mezzanine has 3 beds and a sea view.

A fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine and microwave. There’s also a bathroom with shower and washbasin, a separate toilet, digital TV, a wifi speaker and a veranda with a glass windscreen and lounge chairs. See all details on Our beach houses.

Yes. The beach houses stand on the beach of Katwijk. From your veranda and the mezzanine you look out over the beach and the sea, and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset.

Yes, every beach house has its own wifi, free of charge.

Yes, the beach houses are heated. From 2027 all beach houses will also have air conditioning, so you’ll stay comfortable on hot days too.

From early February until the end of October, for a weekend, midweek or week:
Weekend (3 nights): Friday 3 pm to Monday 10 am
Midweek (4 nights): Monday 3 pm to Friday 10 am
Week (7 nights): Friday 3 pm to Friday 10 am
In high season the beach houses can only be booked by the week.

You book online via Check availability, where you can see right away which periods are still free. After your deposit your booking is final, and you’ll receive a confirmation by email within 24 hours.

Wifi, gas, water, electricity and VAT, bed linen (the beds are made on arrival) and a kitchen pack. On arrival there’s also a small bottle of wine, shower gel and hand cream waiting for you.

The tourist tax (€ 2 per person per night) and final cleaning (€ 85). Optionally you can add towels (€ 6 per person), a high chair (€ 10) or a baby cot (€ 10).

After booking you pay a 50% deposit by iDEAL or credit card. The remaining amount is due no later than 6 weeks before arrival; you’ll receive a payment request by email. If you book within 8 weeks of arrival, you pay the full amount straight away.

You can cancel by email or in writing, stating your booking name, rental period and booking number. The closer to your arrival, the higher the costs: from 25% of the rental price (up to 8 weeks before arrival) to 100% (within 2 weeks of arrival). You can change your booking up to 8 weeks before arrival, by arrangement and subject to availability, for € 25. See our terms and conditions for all details.

Check-in is from 3 pm, check-out until 10 am.

Yes. If you arrive after 8 pm, please let us know by phone or email. Leaving before 8 am on your day of departure? Please tell us before 8 pm the evening before.

Reception is at Beach Pavilion Zee en Zon, Boulevard Zeezijde 19, right next to the beach houses. Please bring your booking confirmation and a valid ID.

You can park at the beach house for 20 minutes to load and unload. After that, please use the Boulevard Zeezijde car park, open 24 hours a day: € 1.80 per hour, € 10 per day, € 35 for a weekly pass or € 50 for a monthly pass.

We take care of the final cleaning. We do ask you to leave the beach house swept and with the dishes done when you leave.

Yes. Scan the QR code in your beach house to order straight from the menu of Beach Pavilion Zee en Zon. The pavilion delivers your lunch, drinks or dinner to your veranda, 7 days a week.

No, there is no breakfast service. There are several supermarkets and bakeries nearby. Please note that many shops in Katwijk are closed on Sundays.

No, pets are not allowed in our beach houses.

Smoking is not allowed in the beach houses. Barbecues and open fires are prohibited at the beach houses and on the beach, by order of the fire brigade and the municipality of Katwijk.

No. Your own appliances such as barbecues, gas burners, deep fryers, griddles and electric heaters are not allowed. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you’ll have everything you need.

Yes, you can add them to your booking for € 10 each.

Please keep the noise down from 10:30 pm, out of respect for other guests and neighbours. The main tenant must be at least 21 years old, and groups of young people are not admitted. You’ll find all house rules in the welcome folder in the beach house.

On the beach of Katwijk aan Zee, at beach access 19 (Boulevard Zeezijde), right next to Beach Pavilion Zee en Zon and across from Katwijk’s lively town centre.

From late May until early September, Katwijk’s characteristic beach huts (strandhokjes) stand on the beach, slightly lower and in front of the beach houses. This is where local families spend their beach days together.

Cycle through the dunes, take a surf lesson or visit the historic centre of Leiden. In July and August there’s a tourist market in Katwijk’s centre every Tuesday. The information folder in your beach house has more tips; see also vvvkatwijk.nl.
